Customer Name: Aviva Health
Location: Roseburg, OR
Overview: Aviva Health, a rural Federally Qualified Health Center in Oregon’s scenic Umpqua Valley, recently completed a 31,000 square foot expansion funded by the USDA’s B&I lending program. This is the first deal where Live Oak has leveraged the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program, a tax incentive designed to encourage investment in businesses and real estate projects located in economically distressed communities.
Wins: In a community that’s consistently been plagued with a lack of access to reliable, patient-centered health care, Aviva Health’s expansion is a boon to the 15,000 residents who receive their healthcare here. The new facility adds 34 new exam rooms, several large conference rooms available for community events and space to house 24 family medicine residents. The new state of the art facility will also serve as a powerful recruiting tool for prospective residents, faculty, and ancillary clinical support staff. Additionally, the enhanced facility will create over 30 new jobs. A recent study by Capital Link shows Aviva Health’s total annual economic impact to the community is $32.1 million.
